We know that these are really nothing new, but what is new is that our office has taken to buying them in a "have to have them all" Pokemon collector card type way.
Our favourites so far are the Love bug, Believe and Karma versions (well these are the ones that have been delivered). More than just a chiropractor recommended break from massive jewellery, each piece comes with a sweetly worded affirmation. The Karma one is all about putting out what you want to get back ie. if we buy this for ourselves, hopefully other people will buy them for us too.
First the clothing designers decided to branch out into cosmetics, now the cosmetics companies are getting in on the game with Mac releasing a range of "mulit-functional" (ie can be used for more than just make-up, so there) bags. We think the bright neon colours and patent finish make these a great big splash of fun for any night out – and we’re sure your cards, cash and phone will feel totally at home with your beauty kit too.
Don’t you just love it when a new trend comes along that forces us writer folk to refashion a word to describe it (it’s just laziness really). Boho (followed by Faux-ho) was one, Grunge is an oldie but a goody as is Seersucker, then there was Ombre and now it’s Painterly. Seriously, hands up if you’ve ever used that phrase before? No, well you better wrap your tongue around it asap as you’ll be saying nothing else once spring hits.
Here are some nice "painterly" prints from Shopbop.com
